1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Test data: Your writing responses, reading answers, and speaking recordings are stored to provide grading and track your progress.

Usage data: We collect anonymous usage analytics (page views, feature usage) via PostHog to improve the Service.

Device information: We generate a device fingerprint (based on browser and screen properties) to prevent abuse. This fingerprint is not linked to your identity unless you create an account.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide AI grading and score feedback
Track your test history and progress over time
Manage your subscription and credits
Prevent abuse (rate limiting, multi-account detection)
Improve the Service based on usage patterns

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure (D1 database, R2 storage). Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Our servers are located in North America.

4. Third-Party Services

Google OAuth: Authentication only. We receive your name, email, and profile picture.
AI Grading: Your writing responses are sent to a third-party AI service for grading. Their data usage policy applies.
Stripe: Payment processing. We do not store credit card numbers.
PostHog: Anonymous analytics. No personally identifiable information is shared.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access: View all data we hold about you via your account dashboard and test history.
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@mocklangtest.com.
Portability: Request an export of your data in a standard format.
Correction: Update your profile information through your Google account settings.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use localStorage to store your session ID, authentication token, and writing drafts. We use PostHog cookies for analytics. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed within 30 days. Anonymous test data (without personal information) may be retained for service improvement.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
